I believe that...

...the soul is always whole. No matter how broken a person appears, or chooses not to appear.

...the pain catches up with us when we run away from it.

...our protective mechanisms and defense patterns against pain, grief, or anger are like those of frightened children. They need a lot of security, love, and attention. They want to talk about it and learn how to deal with fear in an adult way. There's hardly anything better to loosen these defenses than offering them recognition and support.

...people only change in a benevolent atmosphere characterized by mindfulness, respect, and value neutrality. Because we are all already judged and hurt enough out there for who we are. Or for how other people think we should be. That's very exhausting.

...people and groups shouldn't let themselves be instructed from the outside. That's why authoritarian leadership styles are simply so incredibly outdated and ultimately cowardly. I also experience these leadership role-playing games in relationships.

I believe that...

...nowadays, commitment is no longer an option for many people. And this leads to many (contact) disorders – both with the outside world and with oneself. I believe that many mental illnesses and crises are based on contact disorders.

...we humans are not comforted enough.

...goal-oriented coaching can also end in hell. Becoming fearless in two days, overcoming blocks in just one weekend. Sometimes that might work, but the human soul doesn't function that way, and often it can lead to even more pressure to perform and suffering.

...therapy and coaching are only useful if the person learns to accept themselves as they are.

...we can't easily adjust the emotion dial. It's like adjusting the temperature dial on a heater. Feelings come and go. But I believe we can adjust the readiness dial each time, and decide anew in every situation whether or not we want to increase our willingness to face a fear and try something new.

...we will find peace within ourselves when we accept our inner turmoil.

By accepting what IS, and also what IS NOT, we can achieve happiness and well-being. And this requires courage and practice.

I'd be happy to help you with that.
